- I just bought a new machine and transferred my
files. Now my registration key does not work. What can I do?
The registration key is sent to you in a "generic"
form. The key incorporates the unique machine ID of the machine you
installed the application on.
When you want to install this on a new machine, use the original
registration key you were sent. If your "Registration"
selection on your menu is grayed out, type Ctrl-R to get to the registration
screen. Or delete the file "C:\System\Apps\APPLICATION\APPLICATION.ini"
(substitute your applciation name for APPLICATION) and start your
application again.
- What is the current version of MonthMgr?
MonthMgr is currently at version 2.1.
- What is MonthMgr used for?
The intention for MonthMgr is to provide a read-only viewer for Agenda
files. No item addition or modification is provided in the current version.
- Is MonthMgr integrated with the Agenda
application?
Yes and no. MonthMgr uses a copy of the Agenda file that is specified by
the preferences. When it senses that this copy needs to be updated it kills
the Agenda app and rereads the Agenda file. This file checking occurs on
startup and whenever MonthMgr comes to the foreground.
The Agenda app is also restarted after the file is copied, if the user
makes this choice in the preferences dialog.
However, because of the design of Agenda, you cannot specify which
Agenda file to start the application using. While tighter integration is
desired, Agenda seems not to have been designed with integration in mind.
- How is "item filtering" used in
MonthMgr?
The user can select which type of item to display in the calendar view by
tapping the buttons labelled "A", "E", and "V"
on the top of the calendar view. These manipulate appointments, events, and
anniversaries, respectively. When a button is in the "pressed"
stated, that particular item type is not displayed.
Filtering applies to the calendar view, day view, and printing.
- Why does MonthMgr ignore To Do list items?
We felt that there were enough items to cram into a calendar square, and
that To Do list items were not specifically appropriate for a calendar view.
We have another product -- TodoMgr
-- for the display and manipulation of To Do list items.
- If I register MonthMgr, how long is that
registration good?
The registration key that you get when you register MonthMgr is good for
the life of the app. It also registers all future versions of the app for
your machine.
- I have registered this product, but my time
for the 30-day trial has run out. So the app shuts down on me. How can I
enter my registration key?
This will be made easier in the future. For now, there are two
workarounds. First, type Ctrl-R to get to the registration
screen. If this does not work, another workaround is to
delete the file "C:\System\Apps\MonthMgr\MonthMgr.ini". This will
erase your preferences, but it will also allow you to enter your reg key.
- What is the current version of TodoMgr?
The current version of TodoMgr is version 1.1.
What is TodoMgr used for?
TodoMgr is a todo list manager that uses the todo lists from the Agenda
application database. It adds features such as hierarchical list management,
drag and drop, and list printing to the feature set from Agenda.
Is TodoMgr integrated with the Agenda application?
Yes and no. TodoMgr uses a copy of the Agenda file that is specified by
the preferences. When it senses that this copy needs to be updated it kills
the Agenda app and rereads the Agenda file. This file checking occurs on
startup and whenever TodoMgr comes to the foreground.
The Agenda app is also restarted after the file is copied, if the user
makes this choice in the preferences dialog.
However, because of the design of Agenda, you cannot specify which
Agenda file to start the application using. While tighter integration is
desired, Agenda seems not to have been designed with integration in mind.
If I register TodoMgr, how long is that registration
good?
The registration key that you get when you register TodoMgr is good for
the life of the app. It also registers all future versions of the app for your
machine.
- What is the current version of AgnDump?
The current version of AgnDump is 1.0.
- What is the purpose of AgnDump?
AgnDump is a simple application that reads in the Agenda file that
the user specifies and reformats it into an ASCII (human-readable)
file. This is done according to user specifications.
- What relation does the "Format" field
have with the "Text" field?
The "Format" field simply suggests certain formats. It's
there because there are certain formats that might be used frequently.
Even after the "Format" field fills in the "Text" field,
the user may change the "Text" field any way he/she wishes.
- What is the price of AgnDump?
AgnDump is freeware, that is, it is available free of charge.
